WELCOME TO HAYES PARK

The James Hayes Park, located at the corner of Warren Avenue and West Canton Street in Boston’s South End, is a welcoming oasis in the historic South End district of Boston.  The award-winning park features shade and flowering trees, benches for reading and relaxing, a toddlers' play area, and changing displays of flowers throughout the seasons. In addition, the park has an active and vibrant community of supporters — The Friends of Hayes Park.

The mission of the Friends of Hayes Park – an all-volunteer, non-profit organization working as a City of Boston Parks partner – is to maintain the beauty and utilization of James Hayes Park, in the belief that well-kept open spaces foster community and enhance the livability of cities.  This group takes care of all the planting and maintenance in the park, and hosts community events there throughout the year.
